AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. is seeking a Junior Threat Intelligence Analyst to research cyber threats, analyze threat activity, and prepare concise intelligence reports for technical and non-technical audiences.

We are looking for a curious, detail-oriented, and analytical Junior Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence team.
In this role, you will research emerging cyber threats, analyze threat activity, prepare concise intelligence reports, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will work with Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and internal intelligence platforms, including the Recorded Future Intelligence Operations Platform, while receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced Threat Intelligence Analysts.

Conduct research on emerging cyber threats using OSINT sources and internal threat intelligence platforms.
Research and analyze cyberattacks including ransomware, phishing, malware, vulnerability exploitation, and other emerging threats.
Identify relevant threat actors, malware, vulnerabilities, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Map threat intelligence findings to recognized frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis.
Maintain awareness of current cybersecurity trends and developments.
Produce clear, concise, and accurate Threat Intelligence Analyst Notes based on open-source and internal intelligence.
Translate raw information into actionable intelligence for technical teams, cybersecurity defenders, and non-technical stakeholders.
Publish intelligence findings through the Recorded Future Intelligence Operations Platform, ensuring relevant entities and intelligence details are accurately captured.
Ensure reports meet established quality, formatting, and analytical standards.
Work with global Threat Intelligence teams across the Philippines, Australia, UK, and US to validate and enhance intelligence findings.
Participate in team discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, training, and process reviews.
Provide additional research and intelligence support based on business requirements.
Accurately document and interpret raw intelligence data.
Contribute to improving research methodologies, reporting processes, and team best practices.
Continuously develop knowledge of cyber threats, threat actors, vulnerabilities, and intelligence methodologies.
Explore and leverage AI-powered tools to improve research and analytical efficiency.
Candidates should meet at least one of the following:
6 months or more of professional experience in Cybersecurity, Cyber Threat Intelligence, or a closely related field; OR
1 year or more of professional experience in Technical Writing, Due Diligence, Risk Assessment, Physical Threat Intelligence, Fraud Intelligence, or another role involving substantial research and report writing.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity threats such as:
Malware
Phishing
Trojans
Botnets
Ransomware
Software vulnerabilities
Familiarity with OSINT research techniques and sources.
Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and organize raw information.
Ability to convert complex information into clear and structured written analysis.
Curiosity and willingness to explore AI tools and emerging technologies.
