Job summary

WRS Health is seeking a Technical Product Owner to bridge business objectives with technical execution in a remote, independent contractor role. You will own the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring customer value and technical integrity.

You will partner with UI/UX, development, and QA teams, gather requirements from clients and stakeholders, and lead Agile ceremonies to drive high-quality releases while guiding a Product Owner team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience conducting user research and turning insights into flows and personas.
• Experience in healthcare or health technology for medical practices.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Data-driven mindset using analytics to inform product decisions.
• Led Agile teams, broke down epics into stories and guided the SDLC.
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience.
• Proficient with Jira and cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for major system issues and product-related inquiries.
• Gather and document requirements from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring readiness for development.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and other team meetings.
• Collaborate closely with developers and QA to ensure product quality, accurate implementation, and smooth releases.
• Communicate the value of new features to internal teams and clients.
• Oversee and mentor the Product Owner team, including goal-setting, project assignments, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain internal tools such as developer PTO and assignment trackers.
