Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an Azure Cloud Lead with Terraform to design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure exclusively via Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. This role emphasizes automation, version control, and secure, auditable infrastructure in a global cloud environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement Azure networking, VMs, AVD, and application gateway configurations, and ensure pipelines run smoothly in Azure DevOps or GitLab.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for Azure infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of Azure architecture and services.
• Proven experience managing infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring zero manual intervention.
• Manage Azure resources including: Virtual Machines (Windows & Linux), Resource Groups, Azure Networking, Azure Firewall, Azure VirtualDesktop (AVD Windows 10/11), Unix, Host pool creation, deletion, and lifecycle management.
• Implement and manage Azure Application Gateway (added advantage).
• Handle SSL certificate renewal for Azure Application Gateway using Terraform.
• Work closely with Application, Database, and Infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deploy infrastructure using Terraform code.
• Build, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment.
• Use Azure DevOps for Terraform pipeline execution; familiarity with GitLab is an added advantage.
• Ensure infrastructure is version‑controlled, auditable, and compliant using Git + Terraform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Azure and Terraform‑related issues.
• Interact with customers and Microsoft support for Azure‑related incidents and escalations.
