Job Description

The role is responsible for leading and managing the technical team in delivering high-quality structural and geotechnical designs for various civil and marine infrastructure projects. This includes overseeing design management and quality assurance processes in compliance with Business Management System, QA procedures, and relevant technical standards. The position ensures that all contractor design submissions and design review activities meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• • Lead and manage the technical team. Provide necessary guidance to the engineers in terms of design management and project delivery.
• • Ensure the implementation of design management and design quality assurance systems, including ensuring design production to a high standard in accordance with Business Management System (BMS), Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, and appropriate technical standards.
• • Be responsible for all Structural/Geotechnical design and design review activities.
• • Ensure contractor design submissions meet the client specifications and regulatory requirements, with endorsement as internal quality control process. Checked that all designs are prepared in accordance with the Design Process Plan and standards including British Standard, ASTM and Philippines design standards on civil engineering, public works and highway and marine and coastal related works.
• • Review and approve reports related to design, and in accordance with the Client requirements.
• • Analysis / Approve designs related to soil improvement, geotechnical stability and coastal protection works.
• • Analysis / Approve designs related to all structural/geotechnical elements from foundations to above ground works across a range of materials including concrete (both reinforced and pre /post tensioned) and steel.

Minimum Qualifications:

• •Bachelor/master’s degree in civil engineering from recognized and reputable university.
• •At least 10 to 15 years of relevant civil engineering experience in large scale infrastructure/reclamation projects.
• •Strong knowledge of construction design principles, practices, and regulations.
• •Demonstrate experience in construction project management or a similar role.
