Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Technical Lead - Data Engineer to guide data platform modernization from our Makati office. The role combines hands-on data engineering with people leadership to drive enterprise-wide lakehouse adoption and modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in data engineering, 3+ years leading teams, and strong cloud experience across Databricks, Synapse, and Azure services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field as listed.
• 5+ years in data engineering or analytics.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or large programs.
• Experience delivering cloud-based data and analytics solutions.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, governance, and platform operations.
• Experience with lakehouse architectures and migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Data Engineering delivery, Enterprise Lakehouse adoption, and platform modernization.
• Leads roadmap execution, prioritization, stakeholder engagement, and technical governance while providing direction for Databricks and Synapse migrations.
• Works across product, architecture, engineering, and vendor teams to translate strategy into actionable plans and drive outcomes.
• Partners with stakeholders to align business priorities, technical capabilities, and delivery commitments for scalable, secure solutions.
• Leads planning, execution, and continuous improvement of data engineering capabilities and modern practices.
• Develops team capability through onboarding, coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer.
• Serves as a key leader driving collaboration, accountability, and delivery across diverse teams.
