Job summary

Ocampo and Suralvo Law Offices in Makati seeks experienced tax advisers to join our practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep knowledge of Philippine tax laws and treaties and advise clients across industries on a broad range of tax concerns.

Role involves providing legal advice and representation, conducting research, drafting memoranda, and handling tax audits, appeals, and litigation. Only candidates who are bar admitted and have 2+ years in reputable firms will be considered.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the Philippine bar.
• At least 2 years of experience in tax advisory at a law firm or Big 4.
• BS Accountancy or Finance preferred but not required.
• Court of Tax Appeals litigation experience preferred but not required.
• Proven track record of handling clients and interacting with government agencies.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

We are inviting experienced tax advisers to join our practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional understanding of Philippine tax laws and treaties, manage complex matters with precision, and advise clients in various industries on a broad range of tax concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of legal matters, with a specific focus on tax advisory/advocacy work.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to interpret laws, regulations, and jurisprudence.
• Draft advice, memoranda and reports to client.
• Draft and review various legal documents including contracts and pleadings.
• Represent clients in tax audits, appeals, and litigation/dispute resolution proceedings.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the Philippine bar
• With relevant experience from a reputable law firm or any of the Big 4 Accounting firms, for at least two (2) years
• Graduate of BS Accountancy or Finance preferred but not required
• Court of Tax Appeals litigation experience preferred but not required
• Proven track record of successfully handling and managing clients/caseloads and dealing with government agencies
• Strong communication skills
