Job summary

EY GLOBAL DELIVERY SERVICES (GDS) PHILIPPINES seeks a Senior Associate - Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) to execute and review tax accounting engagements within a global team. Develops technical tax knowledge, execution skills, and business acumen in a dynamic environment.

The role covers US GAAP/IFRS tax provisions, TBBS-based deferred taxes, and monthly/quarterly forecasts, with hybrid work at McKinley West or Cebu Business Park.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with relevant work experience.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong background in income tax accounting and US GAAP/IFRS.
• Proficiency with Excel (dynamic tables and advanced formulas).
• Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and engage with client teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and review complex tax accounting engagements for clients.
• Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions for US GAAP and IFRS.
• Review staff work products and ensure accuracy.
• Explain tax provision adjustments and deferred tax calculations to clients.
• Oversee TBBS-based deferred tax proofs and monthly/quarterly forecasts.
• Coordinate with EY country teams and client documentation.
• Prepare journal entries and tax provisioning related items for client approval.
• Participate in transactions (spin-offs, M&A, BEPS) as needed.
