Private Advertiser is seeking a Systems and Security Specialist to safeguard our systems, data, and communications. You will conduct vulnerability assessments, implement security controls, and oversee incident response while administering endpoints and CCTV infrastructure.
You will configure networks, manage backups, ensure Office 365 security and compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce security policies and strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.
The Systems and Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and protection of company systems, data, and communications by conducting vulnerability assessments, implementing security measures, and overseeing incident response protocols. This role involves administering endpoint security solutions, managing CCTV infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enforce security policies.
Administer, maintain, and monitor servers, operating systems, networks, and endpoint devices to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, VPNs, and other connectivity solutions.
Manage user accounts, system access, backups, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
Oversee Office 365 administration, security settings, and compliance to protect company data and communications.
Maintain CCTV infrastructure and other technology systems supporting facility operations and security.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and identify potential security risks across systems and infrastructure.
Implement and administer endpoint protection, firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies.
Monitor networks, systems, and security events to detect, investigate, and respond to potential threats or unauthorized activities.
Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection requirements, and internal security controls.
Manage security incidents through established response and ticketing processes, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve IT security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen security awareness and ensure adherence to organizational security policies.
Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen the organization's overall security posture and system reliability.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in system administration and cybersecurity.
Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
Proficiency in administering security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
Experience with ticketing systems and incident response procedures.
Familiarity with Office 365 security and compliance settings.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
