Job summary

Arla Foods Corporation is seeking a Supply Planning Specialist to develop and execute supply plans that align inventory with forecasted customer demand. How you will make an impact

You will belong in an organization with over 140 years of heritage as a European cooperative, being a strong team player requires a mindset where you can work across all business units and navigate in a matrix organization.

• You develop and maintain rolling supply plans and inventory projections by analyzing demand forecasts, inventory levels, supply constraints, and replenishment requirements to ensure optimal product availability, minimize stock risks, and support business and customer service objectives.
• You coordinate the review and approval process with relevant stakeholders and place purchase or replenishment orders in a timely manner.
• You track supplier or dairy order confirmations and coordinate promptly with Global Customer Service, source markets, or dairies on rejected orders, quantity deviations, date changes, substitutions, or other exceptions.
• You assess supply feasibility for new products, launches, phase-in/phase-out, customer samples, local buyback requirements, and other approved special orders, including lead time, source availability, shelf life, logistics, and minimum quantities.
• You maintain visibility of incoming shipments and update supply plans based on changes in shipment schedules, quantities, and availability assumptions, proactively identifying and escalating risks related to stock availability, inventory health, capacity constraints, and customer service performance.
• You prepare and reconcile in-transit, open-order, and month-end supply data and reports, ensuring accurate reporting inputs and timely coordination with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to support financial close and business planning activities.
• You ensure compliance with supply planning policies, controls, and audit requirements through accurate documentation and process adherence, while driving continuous improvements in planning, ordering, reporting, automation, and operational efficiency.

The Supply Planning Specialist will be part of the Supply Chain team and will report directly to the Head of Supply Chain.

What will make you successful

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in supply planning, replenishment, inventory planning, and ordering, preferably in an international FMCG company.
• You have an exceptional background in using SAP APO/IBP or equivalent planning systems, Microsoft Excel, and other ordering tools. Experience with NetSuite, Power BI, WMS, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• You are organized, results-driven, thrives in a dynamic work environment, able to create sound decisions and demonstrates ownership
• You can do thorough data analysis and confidently communicate results and insights for action planning
