Job summary

MicroSourcing is expanding its Maples Group support in Manila and seeks a Supervisor, Fund Accounting. You will oversee the preparation and review of NAVs for hedge funds, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with managers, prime brokers, custodians, and auditors.

You will lead and train junior staff, drive process improvements, and ensure on-time client deliverables in a hybrid, day-shift Manila environment at BGC, Taguig.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) is a plus.
• 4–5 years Hedge Fund or Private Equity experience, OR 2–3 years Hedge Fund/PE with 3–5 years in broader financial services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of medium-to-complex net asset valuations (NAVs) for hedge funds, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as primary operational contact with investment managers, prime brokers, custodians, auditors, and internal teams to resolve queries and deliver client outputs.
• Support audit processes by providing documentation, addressing inquiries, and maintaining accurate client data in proprietary systems.
• Review data entry, fee processing, and operational metrics to ensure reporting accuracy and internal control.
• Provide leadership and training to junior team members while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Drive process improvements, manage tight deadlines, and participate in special projects as needed.

• Oversee the preparation and review of medium-to-complex net asset valuations (NAVs) for hedge funds, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a primary operational contact, collaborating with investment managers, prime brokers, custodians, auditors, and internal global teams to resolve queries and complete client deliverables.
• Support audit processes by providing documentation, addressing inquiries, and maintaining accurate client data and constitutional setup details in proprietary systems.
• Review data entry, fee processing, and ad-hoc operational metrics to ensure reporting accuracy, internal risk compliance, and database integrity.
• Provide direct leadership, training, and guidance to junior team members while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Drive process improvements, manage tight deadlines, and participate in special operational projects as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
• 4–5 years of Hedge Fund or Private Equity experience, OR 2–3 years of Hedge Fund/PE experience combined with 3–5 years in the broader financial services industry.
• Hands-on proficiency in Advent Geneva is preferred.

Competencies & Key Traits

• Technical Skills: Strong mastery of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables); exposure to Power Query or data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for effective global stakeholder management.
• Core Traits: Exceptional integrity when handling confidential data, high productivity with a keen eye for detail, and strong time-management skills under tight deadlines.
• Soft Skills: Proactive problem-solver with a process-improvement mindset, strong leadership and training capabilities, and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
