AT A GLANCE (OVERVIEW)
The Industrial Designer supports the end-to-end design of product components, packaging, and brand extensions, including merchandising and gifts-with-purchase. This role translates business goals and customer insights into thoughtful scalable design solutions across both 2D and 3D execution. The Senior Product Designer will also support and guide junior designers.
YOUR OVERALL MISSION & DAY-TO-DAY
Product & Packaging Design
- Support the design of products, components, packaging, and merchandise from concept to production.
- Develop and execute 2D and 3D design solutions that balance brand vision, functionality and manufacturability.
- Translate business goals, consumer insights, and market trends into compelling design concepts.
Design Quality & Standards
- Own and uphold design standards across all deliverables, maintaining a high bar for craft, consistency and usability.
- Review and refine design outputs to ensure accuracy, quality and readiness for production
- Continuously improve design processes, documentation and workflows.
Project Management & Collaboration
- Present design concepts, prototypes and rationale clearly to internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Incorporate feedback effectively while safeguarding design intent and brand integrity
- Collaborate closely with the Product Development, Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensure that designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with production requirements.
- Manage & collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing team for approvals, sign offs, product briefs, & quality.
- Work with the marketing and brand team to develop a launch plan that includes timelines for different communication channels and tactics.
- Ensure projects meet timelines, budget constraints, and operational considerations.
- Provide insights and recommendations on the best ways to communicate the product’s value and differentiators to different audience segments.
- Support team members in completing projects and meeting deadlines as deemeed necessary by the Immediate Head.
YOUR TALENT (QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Merchandising or any other related field
- Proficient & knowledgeable in both 2D and 3D Design, including Adope Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and 3D modeling/rendering tools (Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot, etc,)
- At least 2-4 years of experience in product design, packaging design, or any related consumer goods design.
- Proven experience in leading end-to-end design across physical products, including components, packaging and brand extensions.
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production constraints
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing and Supply Chain teams
- Ability to translate brand vision and business objectives into commercially viable design solutions.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience mentoring or providing design direction to junior designers
