Job summary

Smart Choice Learning Center is seeking a Kumon Teaching Assistant to support students in our Kumon learning center. The role focuses on guiding students through worksheets, maintaining an organized classroom, and promoting independent study habits.

The ideal candidate is patient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with children of various ages. A Senior High School diploma is required; teaching experience is a bonus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Senior High School graduate
• Strong basic Math and English skills
• Patient, organized, and attentive to detail
• Comfortable working with children of different ages
• Willing to learn and follow the Kumon Method
• Teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage, but not required

Responsibilities

• Check and mark Math and Reading worksheets accurately
• Prepare and organize worksheets and learning materials
• Maintain a clean, organized, and positive learning environment
• Guide students as they complete Kumon worksheets independently
• Assist students who need clarification while encouraging self-learning
• Observe students’ progress and report concerns to the instructor
• Communicate respectfully with parents when needed
• Follow Kumon policies, procedures, and teaching standards
