Job summary

CURE International in Davao City, Philippines, seeks a Procurement and Inventory Manager to oversee procurement, inventory, and related operations across hospital and program needs.

You will coordinate with clinical, pharmacy, laboratory, and facilities teams to ensure timely availability of quality supplies, negotiate with suppliers, manage stock levels, and ensure donor and policy compliance while optimizing costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Supply Chain/Procurement/Business Administration/Logistics/Finance).
• 3–5 years of relevant management experience in procurement, inventory, or materials management, healthcare/nonprofit preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, competitive bidding, and internal controls.
• Experience managing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, or hospital goods is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual and periodic procurement plans based on hospital needs and budgets.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify reliable suppliers; monitor supplier performance and re-evaluate contracts.
• Manage purchase requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, and contracts; ensure donor and legal compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of medicines, supplies, and equipment; set stock levels and reorder points.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, nursing, lab, OR and clinical teams for critical supply needs.
• Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, labeling and issuance of supplies; ensure proper storage conditions.
• Monitor procurement spending against budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate better pricing.
• Ensure adherence to donor rules, grant agreements, and nonprofit policies; maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Coordinate asset tagging and tracking of medical equipment and IT assets; prevent fraud and ensure separation of duties.
• Train staff on procurement policies, inventory controls, documentation, and ethics.
