Job summary

JORI Logistics in Cebu City is seeking an Accountant to support the CFO with accurate financial reporting and to manage the full accounting cycle for the Philippines entity. You will reconcile ledgers, prepare working papers, and ensure timely statements for internal analysis and external compliance.

You will contribute to budgets and forecasts, help improve accounting systems, and assist with Canada and Philippines tax filings, while maintaining strong controls and delivering high-accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.
• 2-4 years’ experience post-CPA designation.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy.
• Familiarity with Canadian tax laws and CRA regulations is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and electronic filing skills.
• Strong computer skills and adaptability to new software.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely accounting working papers for all group companies.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with the reporting framework.
• Support CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management reporting and reconciliations.
• Maintain Philippines books and day-to-day accounting tasks, recording transactions.
• Gather and organize information for tax filings in Canada and the Philippines.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting cycles for all group companies.
• Prepare projections, forecasts and business plans.
• Review and modify accounting systems and procedures.
• Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc reports for management.
