Job summary

Chevron Corporation in Makati City, Philippines, is seeking a Statutory Audit Analyst to join the finance team. The role focuses on preparing statutory financial statements and coordinating audits in IFRS, US GAAP, and local standards.

You will liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant engagements. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in external or statutory audit, strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Statutory Audit Analyst. This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, or local standards.
• Coordinate end-to-end statutory audit processes, including planning, execution, and closure of audit issues.
• Liaise with external auditors, controlling teams, and service providers to ensure timely and efficient audit engagements.
• Assess internal controls and recommend improvements to strengthen financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Monitor external audit testing status and update action plans as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in audit standards.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
• Support initiatives to improve financial statement preparation and implement process enhancements.
• Coordination and preparation of MPA's information requests/ liaison with PWC, SG Tax and GBS Manila

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in external or statutory audit, ideally with exposure to Big 4 audit firms.
• Strong technical expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in managing audit engagements and preparing statutory financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
