Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced security features for SentinelOne’s Windows endpoint protection platform, operating across both user-mode and kernel-mode environments, including anti‑tampering protections, network sensors, and agent infrastructure.
- Build and optimize mission‑critical components, improve performance and stability at massive scale, and research Windows internals to debug deep system issues while collaborating with distributed engineering teams to deliver high‑impact security capabilities that protect millions of devices worldwide.
- Collaborate within the Platform group on complex low‑level areas such as Windows agent anti‑tampering, kernel‑side features, network sensors, device control, user‑mode security, installers, logging, and communication services to enhance the overall quality, performance, and stability of the agent.
- Design, develop, test, and debug sophisticated real‑world problems primarily in modern C++ (23), continuously expanding knowledge of Windows OS internals, kernel development, endpoint protection, and the Endpoint Detection & Response ecosystem.
- Contribute to and share knowledge across Platform teams and the broader Windows group, influencing the security of tens of millions of Windows devices for enterprise and government customers worldwide.
- Work remotely on a flexible schedule. For Spain, only candidates eligible to work in the EU at the time of application are considered. Relocation assistance to the Czech Republic is available for eligible EU candidates.
Qualifications
- Multiple years of experience as a software engineer focused on low‑level programming with modern C++ (or C with willingness to learn modern C++).
- Hands‑on experience and in‑depth understanding of Windows OS design and internals, low‑level development, and debugging of Windows applications using standard debugging and profiling tools.
- Experience working on a production‑grade product with wide‑scale deployment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and with peers across time zones, demonstrating problem‑solving and out‑of‑the‑box thinking.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high coding standards.
- Advantage: experience with Windows kernel and driver development, security‑oriented development, reversing, or malware analysis.
