Responsibilities

• Dispenses medications accurately and ensures timely distribution for in-patients and out-patients.
• Maintains pharmacy records and updates patient medication, charging, and inventory data in the BIZBOX system.
• Reviews drug regimens, monitors adverse drug reactions, and identifies potential drug interactions.
• Reviews narcotic and controlled drug prescriptions to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy.
• Oversees storage, handling, security, and disposal of medicines, including temperature monitoring.
• Performs inventory management activities including receiving deliveries, reports, counts, and near-expiry monitoring.
• Provides medication counseling and responds to drug-related inquiries from patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
• Prepares reports, records prescriptions, processes requisitions, and facilitates procurement of non-formulary or emergency medications.
• Supervises pharmacy operations and personnel, including assistants, ward stock inspections, vial crushing activities, and CPD initiatives.
