Job summary

ams OSRAM Group in the Philippines is seeking a Staff Engineer for Failure Analysis & Reliability to join the CSA division and help drive quality improvements in sensor technologies.

You will support production fails, reliability qualifications, and maintenance of FA and Reliability lab equipment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve product quality in the field.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, or Material Science.
• Knowledgeable in FA and/or Reliability standard equipment.
• 3–4 years’ experience in quality, failure analysis and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support production fails and failure analyses within timelines.
• Support reliability qualifications and investigations for suspect materials.
• Perform preventive maintenance on FA and Reliability lab equipment.
• Provide quality engineering support and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Develop processes to improve FA and Reliability lab efficiency.

Your new responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting requests falling under production fails, special FA requests, qualification failure analysis request and customer return failure analysis.
• Responsible for supporting reliability qualifications, monitoring, risk assessment and special investigations for suspect materials within the accepted timeline.
• Responsible for preventive maintenance on Failure Analysis and Reliability lab equipment
• Responsible in performing key administrative tasks.
• Provides quality engineering support and work with ams OSRAM internal organization to resolve quality issues at customer side and improve product quality in the field.
• Support and possibly lead cross functional taskforce for any quality issues internally and externally through efficient and effective problem-solving skills.
• Develop processes in FA and/or Reliability Lab for improve effectivity and efficiency of the team.

Who we are looking for

• Degree in Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or any equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in FA and/or Reliability standard equipment
• Experience in Semiconductor manufacturing specifically in the field of Quality, Failure Analysis and Reliability.
• 3 – 4 years’ experience in similar field is a plus
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills, high self-organization skills.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, stays cool and works effectively and efficiently under pressure
