Job summary

Manulife’s Global Data & Insights team, collaborating with Manulife Global Solutions in the Philippines, seeks a Sr. Technical Lead to drive BI reporting and data initiatives. You will lead KPI collection for leadership forums, promote self-serve reporting, and implement automation to advance data-driven decision making.

You will work with agile teams, influence senior leaders, and ensure documentation and best practices across data workflows and platforms.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive experience providing operations support in an analyst capacity.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Azure Databricks, Power BI, data modelling and relational databases in enterprise cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, senior leaders, and other data professionals to design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions.
• Lead the collection, validation and reporting of KPIs and metrics for monthly operational reporting for senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain team documentation for data and workflow improvement projects.
• Promote self-serve reporting and enable citizen developers through consultation and knowledge transfer.
• Implement automation and workflow improvements via Microsoft Power Platform to support Power BI initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with data and business analysis standard methodologies and trends.

The Sr. Technical Lead will act as a bridge between our Global Data & Insights team mostly based in Toronto and Manulife Global Solutions (MGS) in the Philippines. The role will lead reporting and data initiatives for various stakeholders including Senior Leadership and collaborating with our partners in MGS including the Reporting Center of Excellence. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams to promote self-serve reporting and drive operational improvements using data. Additionally, you will implement automation and workflow improvements to advance data-driven programs we deliver as a team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders, senior leaders, and other data professionals to design, develop andmaintainbusiness intelligence solutions

• Lead the collection,validationand reporting of KPIs and metrics for various forums including monthly operational reporting for senior leadership.

• Develop and maintain team documentation when solutioning for data and workflow improvement projects.

• Partner with multi-functional teams to promote self-serve reporting and enable citizen developers through consultation and knowledge transfer.

• Implement automation and workflow improvement solutions via Microsoft Power Platform tools toassistin the overall team mandate of operationalizing data decision making tools via Power BI.

• Stayup-to-datewith data and businessanalysisstandard methodologies and emerging trends in data-decision-making-tool development/design.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of progressive experience providing operations support in an analyst capacity.

• Advancedproficiencyin SQL and Azure Databricks,PowerBI, data modelling, and working with relational databases in enterprise cloud environments. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and deliver actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in solutioning workflow enhancement and automation through Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps & Power Automate.

• Experience working on Agile teams using Scrum and Kanban

• Knowledge of the Retirement Operations record keeping systems,workflowsand CRM tools.

• Understanding ofthe financial/retirement regulatory environment.
