HRTX seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement data warehouse solutions supporting Clinical, Patient Accounting, and Corporate operations. The role emphasizes cloud-based data engineering with Google BigQuery, plus hands-on work with Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or Netezza if needed.

You will build scalable pipelines, optimize data delivery, and collaborate across stakeholder teams. Ideal candidates bring strong SQL, data modeling, and experience in modern cloud warehouses;

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in technology related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database design/development skills.
• Experience in building data models for data warehouse.
• Ability to build and optimize data sets, big data data pipelines and architectures.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions.
• Excellent analytic skills associated with working on unstructured datasets.
• Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency, and metadata.
• Development experience with cloud-based modern data warehouses such as Google BigQuery or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills - ability to communicate with all levels of customers, vendors, and IT resources.

Responsabilidades

• Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
• Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements including redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
• Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using GCP and SQL technologies.
• Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics.
• Working with stakeholders including data, design, product, and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues.
• Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
• Participates in unit and system testing and follow existing change control processes for promoting solutions to production system, escalating issues as needed.
• Design, develop, review, test, and deploy using CICD to facilitate the data warehouse solutions.
• Identifies data integrity issues and analyzes data and process flows for process improvement opportunities.
• Monitoring system performance and evaluate query execution plans for improving overall system performance.
• Perform code reviews and assist developers in optimization and troubleshooting.
• Participate in troubleshooting and maintaining existing solutions as required.

The Senior Data Engineer is primarily responsible for participating in the design, development, and implementation of solutions for the data warehouse. The primary focus of the data warehouse includes data and analytics that support business operations including Clinical, Patient Accounting, and Corporate functions.

This role is cloud facing and requires hands on experience in building and managing data engineering code in modern cloud-based technologies such as Google Big Query or equivalent. We are looking for a high energy individual willing to learn and evolve and would like to contribute to high impact healthcare environment. People who are experienced in Teradata BTEQ, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL or Netezza can also be considered if they are willing to work hard and learn Google Big Query can also be considered.

Required

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in technology related field or equivalent combination of education,
  training, and experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database design/development skills
• Strong hands-on data warehousing development experience: Teradata BTEQ, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL or Netezza can also be considered if they are willing to work hard and learn Google Big Query
• Experience in building data models for data warehouse

Preferred:

• Prior experience with health information systems and/or patient financial service systems preferred
• Applicants should also have a demonstrated understanding and experience using software and tools including big data tools like Kafka, Spark; relational SQL databases including Big Query or equivalent; workflow management and pipeline
  tools such as Airflow, and object function/object-oriented scripting languages including Scala, C++, Java and Python.
• Working knowledge of hospital information systems and understanding of health care system integration
