Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and perform data analysis to support business decisions. You will bridge engineering and analytics to deliver high-quality, accessible data across the organization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business needs into data-driven solutions, dashboards, and actionable insights using Databricks, SQL, Python, and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, analytics engineering, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including data pipelines, SQL, Delta Lake, and notebooks.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and data quality/governance practices.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• English proficiency, both spoken and written.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

What is your role?

The Senior Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable data pipelines while also performing data analysis to support business decision-making. REQUIREMENTS

What do you need to have?

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems and integration with data solutions
• Experience working with manufacturing KPIs, statistical process control, or Six Sigma concepts
• Exposure to predictive modeling and machine learning pipelines
• Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
