Job summary

Axos Business Center, Corp is seeking a seasoned software engineer to maintain and enhance a large legacy securities system built on PICK BASIC/MultiValue. The role involves troubleshooting across applications, databases, infrastructure, and deployments, while supporting developers and QA teams to remove blockers.

You will work across Linux, AIX, Java/Spring, DB2, WildFly, Jenkins, and Git, and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe/legacy enterprise systems (COBOL, PICK BASIC, MultiValue or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across applications, databases, and infrastructure.
• Comfortable learning unfamiliar systems and working across multiple technologies.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and development tools.
• Ability to analyze complex codebases and system integrations.

About This Job

• Designing, developing and maintaining related infrastructure and platform according to client's changing requirement.
• Advises developers on best methods of software development and code creation.
• Participating all phases of software engineering life cycle and troubleshooting technical problems as needed.
• Participating in sprint planning meeting to discuss the latest requirements of software development and determining the following tasks.
• Collaborate with architects and other developers on specifications, designs, standards, code reviews, and test capabilities.
• Maintaining Bank Security Standards and passing Audit requirements on Software

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with Mainframe, COBOL, PICK BASIC, MultiValue, Universe, or other legacy enterprise systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working across multiple technologies and learning unfamiliar systems quickly.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and software development tools.
• Ability to analyze complex codebases, databases, and system integrations.

Preferred

• Java/Spring experience.
• DB2 or MultiValue database experience.
• Financial services or securities industry background.
• Technical leadership or mentoring experience.
