Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks an experienced Sourcing Specialist to drive cost savings through strategic supplier management and end-to-end sourcing activities. In this role you will lead RFQs, negotiations and category strategies, while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and strong supplier relationships.

You will work with SAP procurement transactions, manage contracts and POs, and resolve GR/IR variances to support plant and business-unit objectives.

Qualifications

Job Overview

Responsible for driving cost savings through strategic sourcing and effective supplier management. Leads competitive bidding and negotiations, develops and executes category strategies aligned with business objectives, and manages end-to-end sourcing activities. Ensures compliance with procurement policies, processes, and best practices while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Oversees contract management, purchase order reviews, GR/IR variance resolution, and stakeholder support. Experienced in SAP procurement transactions and resolving procurement-related issues to support operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supplier management (preferably in automotive, electronics, or manufacturing industries)
• Drives cost savings on indirect purchase commodities.
• Conducts Competitive Bids (RFQ packages execution, Negotiation)
• Builds strong relationships with strategic suppliers to optimize performance.
• Develops, executes category strategies, ensuring alignment with plant and BU objectives
• Leads and executes the Sourcing Steps
• Clears the path to issues related to procurement activities
• Ensures and promotes adherence to global processes, policies, procedures, and best practices within TE and extends to the supply base
• Manages open P.O. review, GR/IR variances, and stakeholders' concerns.
• Manages new and existing contracts and ensures proper approval
• Knowledgeable in SAP procurement-related transactions

Qualifications

• Business / Engineering Courses Preferably
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Experience working with SAP systems and sourcing tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with global sourcing and supplier development.
