Job summary

Stratpoint Technologies is seeking a Solutions/Technical Architect to provide technical oversight, design, and management across project lifecycles from pre-sales to maintenance. You will drive new practices and tools to enhance capability within a technology domain.

The role reports to the Service Delivery Manager and collaborates with Capability Technical Leads, customers, vendors, and onshore teams, using AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of development experience with software projects from start to finish.
• Familiarity with cloud architecture, deployment, and best practices.
• Proficient in Java, Python, and JavaScript; strong database design/administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical delivery of projects with clear direction and risk assessment.
• Support solution design and contribute to architecture decisions; create presales and delivery docs.
• Facilitate presales to delivery alignment; evaluate technical products for troubleshooting and design.
• Strategize and plan technical solutions meeting client needs; discuss timelines and debt.
• Contribute to proposals with technical input, write-ups, and cost estimates.
• Lead technical teams with mentoring and coaching; stay updated on industry trends.
• Maintain a Technology Radar and continuously improve coding standards and tools.

The Role

We are looking for a Solutions/Technical Architect who will provide technical oversight, solution design, and technical management for projects of a specific stack or technology domain for the entire project lifecycle from pre-sales, delivery, maintenance, and closure as well as building and innovating new practices and tools to build the capability of that technology or domain.

Your Team

The candidate will report to the Service Delivery Manager and collaborate with Capability Technical Leads to enhance technical skills and address gaps. They will also work with customers, third-party vendors, and onshore teams to ensure project success while partnering with leading technology brands like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the technical delivery of projects by providing clear direction and assessing risks to ensure optimal solutions that integrate technical and management perspectives.
• Support solution design, contribute to architectural decisions, and lead the creation of documentation for presales and delivery, including solutions documents, estimations, and architecture decision records.
• Facilitate the transition from presales discussions to alignment during delivery, and evaluate technical products for troubleshooting and design.
• Strategize and plan technical solutions that meet client needs, negotiating timelines, addressing technical debt, and discussing implementation details.
• Participate in the presales process by providing technical input and assisting with proposals, including technical write-ups and cost estimates.
• Lead technical teams by offering guidance, mentoring, and coaching while staying updated on industry trends to support various projects.
• Maintain a "Technology Radar" for practical expertise, monitor coding standards, and continuously innovate processes and tools.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field/vocational course.
• A minimum of 5 years of development experience.
• Proven experience managing a software development project from start to finish, including pre-sales, post-production, and feature updates.
• Familiarity with cloud architecture, best practices, and deployment.
• Experience with Cloud Architecture, best practices, and deployment. A general understanding of the core services and their functions and trade-offs is a plus.
• Experience in various industries, systems, and technologies is advantageous. Proficient in programming with open-source technologies such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, along with skills in database design and administration.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external clients and stakeholders.
