Job summary

CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC, seeks a Software Engineer with strong backend experience to build scalable, resilient RESTful and event-driven solutions using Go, Java, and cloud services for a Fortune 500 client.

The role requires 5–7 years of backend development, proficiency in Linux, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, and observability tools, with strong communication and collaboration skills. Based in Mexico, it offers a dynamic, global project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–7 years of professional experience developing RESTful services and event-driven applications.
• Strong foundation in software engineering practices, data modeling, object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and algorithms.
• Experience using Go Lang, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with AWS services such as ElastiCache Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, or comparable services on similar cloud-hosted platforms.

• Collaborate with local and partner teams to design and deliver end-to-end features.
• Participate and contribute to the agile development and planning process.
• Develop highly maintainable and easy-to-understand code for RESTful services, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure following secure coding practices.
• Apply software engineering standards, concepts, and principles to solve practical business needs.
• Design interactions between multiple modules and understand relevant business metrics.
• Ensure code quality through complete and automated unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify performance issues and optimize software solutions and infrastructure.
• Instrument code appropriately and create custom metrics, alerts, and dashboards.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices across the entire solution.
• Collaborate with other software engineers on system design, engineering best practices, and code reviews.

• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences.
