Job summary

White Cloak Technologies, Inc. seeks an API-focused developer to join their engineering team in Manila.

You will integrate backend core systems with front-end applications via APIs, build scalable and secure services for an API gateway platform, and develop microservices for specialized functions including encryption and database connectivity. Responsibilities include end-to-end SDLC participation, API security implementation (JWT, OAuth, API keys), and thorough API documentation with knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in API development.
• Experience with IBM API Connect or equivalent API gateway.
• Proficient in RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Strong JavaScript/NodeJS and NestJS experience.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and API security.
• Familiarity with Docker, GitLab, and Linux CLI.
• Ability to write comprehensive API documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and agile mindset.

Responsibilities

• Integrate backend core systems with front-end applications through API development
• Develop scalable, maintainable, and secure code for deployment in an API gateway platform
• Develop microservices for customized API functions (e.g., encryption algorithms and database connectivity)
• Participate in the end-to-end software development life cycle of projects
• Implement API security controls (e.g., rate limiting, JWT, OAuth, API keys)
• Write comprehensive API documentation and conduct technical knowledge transfer to support teams and development peers
• Debug issues effectively and develop unit tests
• Collaborate within a highly functional team and adhere to agile ways of working
• Support production issues as L3

Required Qualifications
