Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Software Developer to design, build, and enhance modern software solutions for distributed enterprise systems. You will contribute to scalable web and backend applications that manage complex data, enable automated analysis, and integrate with monitoring hardware using current technologies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop RESTful APIs, and apply robust data access practices across MongoDB/SQL/LINQ stacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2+ years hands-on experience building web apps with TypeScript/React/ASP.NET/C# or JavaScript.
• Experience creating/restful APIs for system-to-system interaction.
• Knowledge of MongoDB/SQL/LINQ databases and data access layers.
• Ability to troubleshoot and communicate technical concepts clearly.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that serve as standard system interfaces.
• Build and optimize data access layers using document‑based and relational databases.
• Apply sound software architecture and design principles, documenting solutions clearly and effectively.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in commercial and internally developed software.
• Continuously learn and apply modern development tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve system quality and performance.

For This Role, You Will Need

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or any related field.
• Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience developing web applications using technologies such as TypeScript, React, ASP.NET, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs for system‑to‑system interaction.
• Working knowledge of database technologies such as MongoDB, SQL‑based systems, or LINQ.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging software in development or production environments.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal form.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

• Experience working with Azure SQL or similar cloud‑based database platforms.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure application development practices.
• Experience with containers, messaging technologies, or event‑driven architectures.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps or continuous integration practices.
