About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Design Lead to define, elevate, and maintain design consistency across multiple products. This role is ideal for a designer who can work independently, take full ownership of design decisions, and create high-quality, user-centered experiences from concept through execution. You will help shape cohesive experiences across web and mobile platforms, establish scalable design systems, and define how users interact and collaborate with AI agents across Berny products. As Design Lead, you will set design standards across teams, collaborate with the Head of Design on hiring and capability building, and act as a force multiplier for the UX work of product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process across multiple products and platforms.
• Define and maintain design standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Ensure consistency across user experience, visual design, and interaction patterns.
• Provide design direction and guidance to designers across product teams.
• Build and maintain a unified design language across Berny products.
• Develop and manage scalable design systems, including components, typography, color, UI patterns, and interaction standards.
• Conduct design reviews and audits to maintain consistency and quality.
• Translate product requirements into intuitive and elegant design solutions.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Work across web and mobile product experiences.

About you

• 5+ years of professional UX/UI or product design experience, including significant ownership or leadership responsibilities.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design across web and mobile platforms.
• Experience designing for SaaS products, digital platforms, or technology products.
• Strong visual design and interaction design skills.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
• Deep understanding of design systems and component-based design.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and usability.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
