Job summary

Thrive is expanding its Security Operations Center and seeks a SOC Analyst 1 to monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents across multiple clients. The role emphasizes proactive defense and adherence to established security standards.

You will work with SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS tools, handling incident investigations and vulnerability analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong network knowledge and communication skills to clearly articulate risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze a large amount of data from various sources and use this information to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform security event monitoring using SIEM from multiple sources (network, host, logs).
• Investigate intrusion attempts and differentiate false positives from true intrusions.
• Proactive monitoring and response to known and emerging threats.
• Support Thrive's security strategy for 400+ clients in the northeast.
• Analyze data from SOC and SIEM to determine further actions.
• Adhere to Thrive's security standards and best practices and suggest improvements.
• Manage clients' security awareness training to improve end-user safety.
• Analyze vulnerability scans and determine remediation steps.
• Stay updated on security events to keep clients protected.
• Build awareness through training and education.
