Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a SOC Analyst/Cyber Defense Specialist to join our security team in Metro Manila, Philippines. You will monitor security events, conduct vulnerability assessments, and participate in incident response to protect client environments.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years in information security, with hands-on experience in security technologies and risk assessment. Certifications such as CEH or Security+ are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically, 4+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 1+ years in a similar role.
• Proven experience in information security analysis.
• Proficiencies in security technologies and risk assessment.
• A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology.

Responsibilities

• Support security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans, contributing to report generation and action items.
• Monitor security events and incidents, escalating as required and assisting in containment.
• Assist with the implementation of security policies and standards.
• Collaborate with the security team on documentation and process improvement.
• Participate in incident response activities, including investigations and reporting.
• Stay informed about emerging security threats and best practices.
• Contribute to security awareness training efforts.
• Seek opportunities for professional development in the security field.
