Job summary

Netrust Philippines Corporation is seeking a SOC Analyst to monitor security events, investigate incidents, and alert clients to threats. The role supports incident response and policy maintenance across internal and external clients.

You will stay updated on threats, assist in vulnerability remediation, and collaborate with senior SOC staff to improve defenses. This on-site position is based in Makati, Philippines.

Responsibilities

• 24/7 monitoring of security events and incidents, promptly alerting clients to threats or potential breaches.
• Manage intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, and other security technologies for clients, ensuring effective defense mechanisms.
• Analyze and investigate security incidents, conducting initial triage, documenting findings, and escalating issues as necessary to protect client and internal assets.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines, enhancing the overall security posture.
• Collaborate with senior SOC team members to resolve security issues, implement remediation measures, and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Support vulnerability assessments and assist in the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities, both for clients and internal IT systems.
• Provide first-level support for security incidents, responding swiftly to mitigate risks and minimize impact.
• Assist in internal IT security operations, ensuring the organization's infrastructure is secure and aligned with best practices.
• 24/7 Service desk that handles the opening and management of incident tickets.

TheSecurityOperationsCenter(SOC)isresponsibleformonitoring,detecting,analyzing,alertingandrespondingtocybersecurityincidentsoftheclient.Itservesasthecentralhubforcybersecurityoperations,utilizingvarioustools,technologies,andprocessestosafeguardtheclient'ssystems,networks,anddataagainstcyberthreats.

TheSOCAnalystmonitorssecurityevents,investigatesincidents,andalertstheclientforanythreatsorbreaches.Theyalsoassistinmaintainingpolicies,playbooks,runbooksandthelikesbothforinternalandexternalclients.Theyhavetostayupdatedonthreats,andsupportincidentresponse.
