We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Electrical Engineer or equivalent to serve as Project Manager (PM) for the MTerra Solar Project in Gapan, Nueva Ecija. The PM will oversee different initiatives and aspects of projects under construction, monitors their progress and completion, and ensures that the projects meet the project owners’ requirements. The PM works with assigned project teams to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
The PM will contribute to the constructability of the solar farm, reviewing designs, evaluating EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) proposals, and preparing construction metrics. They will also oversee the commissioning phase and help optimize performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
A. Project Delivery Execution and Coordination
- Lead the development and execution of project milestones, ensuring all deliverables are met on time, and that project progress aligns with predefined schedules and quality standards.
- Oversee the management of internal and external audits (including lender audits), ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are fulfilled.
- Develop and execute effective communication plans, facilitating seamless information flow among project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Review and facilitate change requests to assess impacts on the project schedule, budget, and scope.
- Coordinate the development of training materials, user manuals, and other relevant documentation to ensure smooth handover to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team post-construction.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify key project successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Work with cross-functional teams (design, construction, procurement, etc.) to ensure project requirements are met and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
B. Project Coordination Support (as applicable)
- Collaborate with internal teams (OCTO, Business Development, Legal/Regulatory) to provide technical insights and support external discussions with stakeholders, such as LGUs, DOE, BOC, and other regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Finance, Planning, Legal) through the Project Director to ensure the smooth execution of all project-related tasks.
- Support other project tasks as assigned by the Project Director, OCTO Construction Management Group Head, or any other designated representative.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in project delivery, construction, testing, and commissioning in the power generation sector, preferably with a strong background in utility-scale solar projects. Experience in solar design is a plus.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in solar PV systems, grid integration, and energy storage technologies are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or hybrid energy systems is highly preferred but not required.
- In good standing with the Philippine Regulatory Commission and other relevant professional bodies.
- PMP certification or recent active credits (within the last 3 years) are a significant advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage time efficiently and meet strict project deadlines.
- Willing to accept a project-based employment status and travel as required.
- Willing to be based in Gapan, Nueva Ecija for the duration of the project.
