Project Management: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring the project is on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards.
Team Supervision: Lead and supervise on-site staff, including workers, contractors, and subcontractors. Provide guidance, support, and resolve any issues that arise.
Health & Safety: Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to and that the site operates in compliance with local laws and industry standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
Quality Control: Monitor and inspect work to ensure it meets the required specifications and quality standards. Address any quality issues immediately and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment, and labor on site. Ensure that the necessary resources are available when needed and properly utilized to avoid delays.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Provide regular updates on progress, milestones, and any challenges encountered.
Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and ensure costs are controlled. Review invoices and process payments, ensuring that the project remains within financial constraints.
Scheduling: Develop, update, and maintain project schedules, coordinating with various parties to ensure timely deliveries and milestones are met.
Problem-Solving: Address any issues or obstacles that may arise on-site, from delays to workforce or material shortages, resolving them efficiently to keep the project moving forward.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, material deliveries, work progress, and any incidents or accidents. Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management or clients.
Education: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, significant on-the-job experience may be considered.
Experience: Several years of experience in construction or site management, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
Certifications:
Construction Management or Site Management certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, SMSTS) are often preferred.
