Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Shift Station Manager to be based in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. In this role, you will manage a team, focus on safety and service quality, and drive productivity in the delivery station operations.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years of management experience, and proficiency in performance metrics and process improvement techniques. This position entails handling daily operations and leading a team to ensure an effective delivery of Amazon orders to customers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Review operational forecast and manage productivity for sort operation.
  • Support safety programs ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of delivery station operations.
  • Lead Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management.
  • Ensure a safe workplace and properly trained personnel.
  • Drive innovation and lead change at a rapid pace.
  • Handle daily operations including receiving and moving shipments.
  • Track sorting operations and driver dispatch.
  • Work in noisy and unheated construction/distribution environments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for sort operation, and manage a team group to meet all building’s goals.
  • Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and Delivery Service Providers.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
  • Part of the Amazon Logistics Team, responsible for day-to-day management of the delivery station, overseeing the operation that focuses on the delivery of Amazon orders directly to customers.
  • Lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs, management representatives, and their drivers.
  • Ensure a safe workplace, properly trained people, and meet their needs so they can focus on their jobs.
  • Lead change at a rapid pace, driving innovation.
  • Help in daily operations: receive, scan, lift and move shipments up to 25 kg.
  • Track and monitor sorting operation and driver dispatch.
  • Stand or walk an average of 5 miles daily.
  • Work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air‑cooled.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
