East West Banking Corporation (EastWest) is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead Cebu store operations, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to regulatory rules. The role drives profitability and oversees various banking activities in a busy branch setting.

Located onsite in Cebu, the role requires strong supervisory experience, KYC/AML compliance, and coordination with Corporate Banking and Wealth Management teams as needed.

Qualifications

• College graduate with business or accounting background.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in branch operations is preferred.
• Assistant Manager experience at another bank is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and AMLC requirements, including opening new accounts, monitoring, and reporting transactions, maintaining KYC records.
• Oversee and approve a variety of over-the-counter transactions beyond teller authority, manage time deposits, and ensure efficient processing and accurate handling of instruments.
• Handle complaint tracking, logging, reporting, and resolution with complete information in the register.
• Record daily store transactions, manage temporary accounts, and reconcile General Ledger balances with subsidiary ledgers.
• Assist in achieving the store's profitability targets.

In this role, you will be responsible for running the store operations and ensuring great customer service, while following company and regulatory rules. You will also help the store meet its profit goals.

What the role will entail

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and AMLC requirements, including opening new accounts, monitoring, and reporting transactions, maintaining KYC (Know Your Customer) records, updating customer information, issuing manager's checks, and managing remittances.
• Oversee and approve a variety of over-the-counter transactions beyond teller authority, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, manage time deposit placements, and aim for excellent customer experiences with efficient processing and error management. This includes handling checkbook orders, dealing with unclaimed checkbooks, processing bills, managing loans, clearing items, and addressing in-clearing check defects, while also supporting various banking groups like Corporate Banking, Wealth Management/Treasury, and Consumer.
• Ensure prompt acknowledgment, logging, reporting, and resolution of complaints, and verify the accurate completion of the complaint tracking register with all necessary information.
• Ensure accurate recording of daily store transactions based on Teller totals and documents, manage temporary accounts timely, and reconcile General Ledger balances with subsidiary ledgers/records.
• Assist in achieving Store's profitability target.

What we're looking for

• College graduate, preferably any Business or Accounting-related course
• With at least 5 years supervisory experience in handling in branch operations
• Preferably Assistant Managers from another bank with the same experience
