Job summary

Staffstream is hiring an SEO Specialist on behalf of an Australian performance marketing agency. You will own SEO strategy and delivery across a portfolio of Australian clients, working hands-on in WordPress, Elementor, GA4, GSC, GTM and AI tools to grow rankings, leads and revenue.

This role emphasizes real commercial impact over box-ticking SEO, with remote work from the Philippines and equipment provided by Staffstream.

Qualifications

• Agency experience managing SEO across multiple client accounts at the same time.
• Strong grasp of technical, on-page and local SEO.
• Regular use of AI tools for research and analysis, not just content generation.
• Hands-on experience building/editing websites in WordPress with Elementor.
• Experience with Google Search Console, GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
• Excellent written and verbal English and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup and prioritize impact.

Job description

Staffstream is hiring an SEO Specialist on behalf of an Australian performance marketing agency that helps service-based businesses across the country generate more leads through SEO, paid ads, websites and digital strategy. You would own SEO strategy and delivery across a portfolio of their Australian clients, working hands-on in WordPress, Elementor, Google Search Console, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Business Profile and AI tools to grow rankings, leads and revenue.

This is a team that pushes back on box-ticking SEO. Every recommendation needs a real commercial reason behind it, and they are actively investing in smarter workflows and AI-first ways of working. You would be part of that shift, not watching it happens.

What You Will Actually Do

• Build and run SEO strategy across a range of client accounts at once
• Keyword research and search intent analysis
• Technical SEO audits, and the follow-through to actually fix what you find
• Building and optimising pages in WordPress and Elementor (and other page builders as needed)
• Improving internal linking, metadata, site structure and content
• Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation
• Analysing performance in GA4 and Google Search Console, and configuring and reviewing tracking in Google Tag Manager
• Using AI tools to speed up research, analysis and day-to-day workflows
• Reporting and communicating recommendations to internal stakeholders

What You Need to Bring

• Agency experience managing SEO across multiple client accounts at the same time
• A strong grasp of technical, on-page and local SEO
• Real, regular use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini for research, analysis and problem solving, not just content generation
• Hands-on experience building and editing websites in WordPress, with strong Elementor skills
• Practical experience with Google Search Console, GA4 and Google Tag Manager
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup
• A habit of prioritizing work based on business impact, not just SEO metrics

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Australian service-based businesses
• Screaming Frog and SE Ranking
• Building reports in Google Data Studio (Looker Studio)
• Experience with the Rank Math SEO plugin
• An understanding of conversion rate optimization
