Job summary

Kairos Recruitment is seeking an SEO/AEO specialist to sort basics across four sites and continuously improve them for traditional search and AI answer engines. The role covers technical SEO audits, schema and markup, and on-page optimization for four partner sites including kairosrecruitment.com.au, aussiefractionals.com, PeopleStack, and Life After Launch.

Work is remote on a contract basis, with ongoing audits and improvements every two months.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in conducting technical SEO audits and fixing site issues.
• Experience implementing structured data, schema markup, and FAQ markup.
• Ability to improve on-page content, headings, and internal linking without a copywriter brief.

Responsibilities

• Run full technical SEO audits on all four sites and fix metadata, sitemaps, speed, and broken content.
• Build AEO/GEO foundations with schema and content optimized for AI answer engines.
• Improve on-page content and internal linking, targeting relevant keywords.
• Maintain simple change logs with clear rationale for each site.
• Schedule follow-ups every two months to re-audit and refresh improvements.

Kairos Recruitment is a Melbourne-based recruitment partner for Australian startups, and sits alongside a handful of other properties under the same umbrella. We're looking for an SEO/AEO specialist to sort the basics across four of our websites, then keep improving and building on all four - for traditional search and for AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

The lay of the land

• Kairos Recruitment (kairosrecruitment.com.au) - founder-native recruitment agency for Australian startups and scaleups, built on Webflow
• Aussie Fractionals (aussiefractionals.com) - a board where fractional executives list themselves for Australian founders to find, built on Lovable
• PeopleStack - a membership platform for startup people functions, built on Lovable
• Life After Launch (lifeafterlaunchpod.com) - a weekly podcast interviewing founders, with a blog article alongside each episode; this is the lowest priority of the four to start with

What do we want from you?

• Run a full technical SEO audit on each site and fix what's broken - metadata, sitemaps, site speed, broken links, duplicate content
• Build the AEO/GEO foundations on each site - structured data and schema, FAQ markup, content formatted so AI answer engines can find and cite it
• Improve on-page content - headings, internal linking, keyword targeting - without a copywriter brief; you're making the call on what needs to change
• Keep a simple record of what you changed and why on each site, in plain language we can follow
• Return roughly every two months per site to re-audit, refresh and build on what's there, rather than treating it as a one-off job
• Flag anything bigger than an SEO fix - a site structure issue, a content gap - rather than working around it silently

We want someone to sort the technical SEO, schema and AEO/GEO foundations across all four sites, then keep returning to improve and build on each of them on an ongoing basis.
