Job summary

The Allegro MicroSystems team invites applications for a Quality Technician to help safeguard manufacturing excellence. Under supervision, you will operate advanced metrology equipment, interpret critical quality data, and identify and contain quality issues to support products powering clean energy and automation worldwide.

You will perform precision inspections, read engineering drawings, and contribute to root-cause analysis, ensuring conformance to exact specifications across production

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of technical support, inspection, or quality control experience.
• Hands-on experience with metrology, inspection, and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specs.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure zero-defect manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of metrology, inspection, and testing equipment (CMMs, optical comparators, testers) to verify product conformance to specs.
• Perform first-article inspections, in-process audits, and final inspections across production lines.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine inspection requirements and tolerances.
• Document and report non-conformances; assist in data collection and root-cause analysis.

Working under general supervision, you will build upon your technical foundation to operate advanced measurement equipment, interpret critical quality data, and reliably identify and contain quality issues. What You Will Do

• Precision Inspection & Testing: Set up and operate a variety of complex measurement and inspection equipment (such as Coordinate Measuring Machines [CMM], optical comparators, and specialized electronic testers) to verify product conformance to exact specifications.
• In-Process & Final Audits: Perform first-article inspections, in-process audits, and final inspections across the production lines to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Interpret Technical Documentation: Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering specifications to determine detailed inspection requirements and tolerances.
• Data Collection & Documentation: Document and report non-conformances immediately. Assist in basic data collection and analysis to support cross-functional problem-solving and root-cause analysis activities.

What You Will Bring

• Educational Foundation: A High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a technical support, inspection, or quality control role (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Metrology & Equipment Skills: Hands-on experience using a variety of metrology, inspection, and testing equipment.
• Technical Literacy: Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Quality Mindset: A solid understanding of quality control principles, inspection techniques, and a meticulous eye for detail to ensure zero-defect manufacturing.
