Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Tax Manager within the Tax Services team to lead delivery of accurate, timely tax reporting and client support for internal stakeholders and external clients. You will apply strong tax knowledge to the operating model while strengthening controls, documentation, and service quality.

You will manage a team of tax analysts and people managers, drive process improvements, and coordinate with stakeholders to define requirements and solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or related field is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of tax experience in financial services is required.
• Strong technical tax knowledge with ability to apply tax rules to business processes.
• Knowledge of Australian tax requirements (TOFA) is desirable.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing tax returns, distributions, and reporting.
• Experience managing tax-related queries with clear documentation and follow-through.
• Experience interpreting data from investment and accounting systems for tax reporting.
• Experience identifying risks, implementing controls, and maintaining a controls environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to align across teams.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and review tax reporting and related deliverables (returns, distributions, reporting, corporate actions).
• Manage client tax queries and stakeholder requests with clear intake and tracking.
• Analyze tax data from investment and accounting systems to resolve issues.
• Own delivery timelines and quality standards; ensure outputs meet requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across tax processes and controls.
• Develop, maintain, and improve tax documentation and policies.
• Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements and solutions.
• Review project materials across the delivery lifecycle and coordinate approvals.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of tax analysts and managers.
• Maintain effective stakeholder communications with status updates and reporting.
