PRIME Philippines is seeking a Tax Accountant to oversee tax compliance, statutory reporting, and audit coordination. The role requires coordinating with accounting, finance, legal, auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies.

The ideal candidate will manage tax filings, ensure accurate tax remittance, maintain compliance calendars, and help improve internal controls and regulatory processes. This is a full-time onsite role in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy is required.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Taxation and Regulatory Compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, SEC compliance, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience handling BIR audits, Letters of Authority (LOA), tax assessments, tax mapping, and government examinations.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies.
• Experience in a multi-company, group, or shared services environment is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.

Responsabilités

• Oversee national and local tax compliance filings.
• Ensure VAT, withholding taxes, income taxes, documentary stamp taxes, and other taxes are computed and remitted accurately.
• Maintain tax compliance calendars and monitor filing deadlines.
• Coordinate with BIR examiners, external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies.
• Lead preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents for tax audits.
• Review tax-related journal entries and ensure proper tax balances are recorded.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to tax and compliance.
• Develop and implement tax governance controls and process improvements.
