Job summary

NVIDIA invites a Senior System Software Engineer to join the Automotive Team. You will design, implement and bring-up safety- and security-critical system software for NVIDIA DRIVE platforms and autonomous vehicle projects.

You will work on next-generation Tegra hardware, debugging tools, and formal methods to ensure high-integrity software across a large software stack. This role emphasizes collaboration and cutting-edge automotive tech.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering.
• Proven understanding of computer architecture, OS fundamentals and Ethernet networking.
• Strong Python/C/C++ and/or Ada/SPARK programming and debugging skills.
• Experience configuring a complex virtualized system for the intended use case.
• Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ISO26262 and ISO21434 compliant system software for NVIDIA DRIVE platform.
• Perform bring-up activities for next-generation Tegra SOC hardware and devices.
• Design debugging solutions and tooling to improve developer experience on DRIVE.
• Architect and implement solutions to complex issues across the software stack.
• Apply formal methods for high-integrity software development.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and develop safety (ISO26262) and security (ISO21434) compliant system software for NVIDIA DRIVE platform for autonomous vehicles
• Perform development & bring-up activities for next-generation Tegra SOC hardware and Systems including devices like network switches and MCUs
• Design debugging solutions and tooling to improve developer experience on DRIVE platform
• Architect and implement solutions to sophisticated issues & defects involving interactions between components partitioned across the large software stack
• Use Formal Methods to design and develop high integrity software

What we need to see:

• BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering and more than 8 years of experience with device driver design and development on embedded systems
• Proven understanding of computer architecture, operating system fundamentals and Ethernet networking
• Strong experience in understanding board schematics, debugging board design issues and engaging with vendors of hardware components
• Strong Python/C/C++ and/or Ada/SPARK programming and debugging skills
• Experience configuring a complex virtualized system for the intended use case
• A strong teammate; self-motivated with a positive approach!

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience in taking features from inception to the product following the Software Development Process and Hands-on experience with ISO26262 and ISO21434.
• Hands-on experience with formal methods, especially using TLA+ and Ada/SPARK toolchains.
