Job summary

Union Galvasteel Corporation seeks a licensed Civil Engineer to lead structural design for cold storage facilities, warehouses, and pre-engineered buildings. The role emphasizes estimation support, design review, and site execution to meet safety, cost, and code requirements.

You will prepare designs, review drawings, coordinate with Sales and Operations, conduct site inspections, and resolve design issues with contractors while upholding Philippine codes and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Civil Engineer (required)
• 3–5 years in structural design and construction
• Experience in cold storage, warehouses, or pre-engineered buildings
• Strong estimation support and project coordination
• Proficient in structural design software
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting tools
• Familiarity with quantity take-off and cost estimation
• Strong understanding of Philippine building codes and standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural designs, calculations, and analysis for projects such as roof & wall profiles, cold storage facilities, warehouses, and pre-engineered buildings (PEB)
• Review and validate structural drawings, ensuring alignment with project requirements, company standards, and local codes
• Optimize structural designs to balance safety, cost-efficiency, and constructability
• Assist the Sales team by reviewing structural requirements during pre-bid and tender stages
• Provide accurate structural quantities, material specifications, and technical inputs for cost estimation
• Review structural scope in Work Orders to ensure completeness and accuracy before execution
• Coordinate with PSG, Engineering, and Operations teams to align design intent with actual site conditions
• Conduct site inspections to ensure structural works are executed according to approved plans and specifications
• Address site issues, design revisions, and unforeseen conditions in coordination with contractors and project teams
• Ensure all structural designs and implementations comply with Philippine building codes, safety standards, and company policies
