Work Flexibility

• Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co‑located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
• Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.
• Field‑based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field‑based.
• Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.

What you will do

• Test Multi-Layer Applications: Validate web applications, REST APIs, and embedded software communication blocks (WiFi, Ethernet, Serial RS-232, and CAN protocols).
• Build Test Automation: Design, deploy, and scale custom test automation harnesses and frameworks from scratch, primarily utilizing Python and Pytest.
• Pipeline Integration: Configure and integrate automated test suites into GitLab CI/CD pipelines for continuous verification and regression testing.
• Requirements & Lifecycle Management: Trace, link, and map software requirements to test cases using Jira and Jama Connect to ensure full verification coverage.
• Run Code Reviews: Evaluate peer automation code to maintain script reliability, clean execution, and high framework standards.
• Manage V&V Environments: Set up target test environments for Verification & Validation (V&V) activities while maintaining tracking documentation compliant with regulatory bodies (like the FDA) and W3C standards.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work alongside local and distributed engineering teams to improve overall product testability, toolsets, and continuous delivery flows.

What you need

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computers, Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent).
• Core Experience: 4 to 7 years of hands‑on experience covering web application testing, API testing, and embedded software systems.
• Automation Frameworks: Proven track record of building automated test frameworks from the ground up using Python (Pytest) or Java (Selenium/TestComplete).
• Tools & Lifecycle: Strong hands‑on experience using Jira for bug tracking/agile execution and Jama Connect for requirements management and traceability matrices.
• CI/CD & Source Control: Working knowledge of GitLab for source code management and pipeline automation tracking.
• Technical Tooling: Strong proficiency with SQL database commands, software IDEs, debugging tools, and cloud‑based cross‑browser testing platforms (such as Sauce Labs).
• Protocol Knowledge: Practical experience validating communication interfaces, data paths, and network protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• AI‑Assisted Testing: Direct exposure to AI‑driven test tools, self‑healing automation engines, or LLM‑driven test generation.
• Cloud Ecosystems: Foundational knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Advanced Testing: Experience executing performance validation (via JMeter) or basic security testing.
• Hardware Integration: Experience designing physical setups or fixtures to test combined hardware and software blocks.
• Agile Execution: Comfort working in fast‑paced Agile environments with sharp project timelines and technical documentation updates.
