Codurance is a boutique IT consultancy with a passion for quality software, XP practices, and craftsmanship. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Software Developer (Software Craftspeople) to work from our Barcelona office or remotely within Spain, collaborating with clients and our delivery teams.

You will shape robust systems, mentor peers, and advocate testing, CI/CD, and SOLID principles while contributing to diverse client projects across industries.

Qualifications

• High proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• 8+ years of experience in at least one of the listed programming languages.
• Comfortable with Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Familiarity with at least one cloud solution (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with multi-layer application design concepts.
• Quality-oriented: testing (ideally TDD), pair programming, CI/CD, Agile methodologies; SOLID principles.
• Experience mentoring team members or leading a project/team.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver software crafts with a focus on quality and pragmatism.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to drive architecture and best practices.
• Mentor teammates, coach on craftsmanship, and help teams improve delivery.
