Job summary

V2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Associate Snowflake Developer/Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud data warehousing on Snowflake. You will own ingestion, ELT pipelines, performance tuning, and governance to ensure secure data sharing.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of Snowflake data engineering experience, strong SQL, Python or JavaScript skills, and hands-on cloud exposure with AWS/Azure/GCP, with Azure emphasis for this role.

Qualifications

• Deep SQL expertise and data warehousing fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for data transformations.
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• 5–8 years in data engineering or Snowflake-specific roles.
• Snowflake platform hands-on experience is mandatory.
• Azure cloud experience is mandatory.
• Python and SQL programming are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling Architecture: Design and implement robust data models and schemas within Snowflake.
• Pipeline Development: Build scalable data pipelines using Snowflake SQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Python, or Snowpark.
• Performance Optimization: Tune data warehouses, storage and SQL queries for cost-efficiency and speed.
• Data Security Governance: Implement RBAC, data masking, row-level security, and secure data sharing.
• Integration: Work with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrate Snowflake with third-party ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Airflow, Matillion).
