Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Security Architect at Senior Officer level to design and engineer network and systems security infrastructure for the bank, including testing and implementation of security controls across on‑premise and cloud environments.

You will lead security projects, collaborate with ITG and enterprise teams, and ensure security baselines are current and enforceable. Strong risk assessment and architecture skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any college degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or related technical field of expertise.
• Has deep understanding, strong working knowledge and at least 8 years’ experience in building/implementing IT Systems Architecture/Infrastructure Security, authentication technologies, Server Security, Network Security, Database Security, Application Security, Communications Security, Data Security, IT Security Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, Business Continuity, Physical Security, Operations Security and Cloud Secure architecture.
• Has at least 8 years’ experience in IT security and IT security risk assessment
• Has understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication and authorization.
• Preferably with IT security related certification such as CISSP, CEH (or equivalent) GIAC, GSEC, etc.
• Has the ability to think like a malicious hacker to anticipate and defend one’s organization against cyber security risks
• Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies a plus
• People Management Skills: Ability to lead and work well with the team, internal, and external clients.
• Have good teamwork and collaboration skills: good team player with the ability to lead security initiatives, explain and enforce security measures.
• Good Project management skills: to lead and manage accomplishments of assigned tasks/risk assessment activities.
• Can be self-managed, self-starter with good organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer network and systems security infrastructure and services, including security testing and new product implementations.
• Ensure that network and system security best practices are executed and updated.
• Keep security infrastructure current and drive continuous improvements in security technologies.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, infra engineers, and data scientists to improve cyber defense posture.
• Coordinate with ITG to align security designs with IT plans.
• Act as SME for enterprise IT and security projects.
• Identify security design gaps and recommend enhancements.
• Analyze cloud structures and enhance on‑premise and cloud security methods.
• Develop and maintain security baselines for OS, devices, databases, and security tools.
• Monitor and ensure deployment of baseline security standards in production.
• Develop business cases and plans for security solutions and implementations.
• Lead the development of secure, resilient network designs that align with security strategy.
• Architect and document security solutions based on roadmaps and risk assessments.
• Ensure disaster recovery procedures for security are tested.
• Manage testing of technical controls and monitor implementations.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses for security projects.
• Prepare business cases for IT security projects.
• Review and approve firewall, VPN, routers, IDS, and related devices installations.
• Assess impact of technical changes on banking facilities.
• Document security implementations and technical docs.
• Collaborate with SAID Head for ongoing security improvements.
• Perform other governance, risk and compliance duties as directed by SAID Head.
