Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable platform services used by development teams across the enterprise. You will own end-to-end delivery, implement reusable CI/CD workflows, and embed security throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and GitHub Enterprise, with strong coding skills in Java, Go, TypeScript, Python, or Bash.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional software engineering experience with production-grade systems.
• Strong programming and scripting in Java, Go, TypeScript, Python, or Bash.
• DevOps experience with secure CI/CD design and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate secure, scalable platform services with end-to-end ownership.
• Develop reusable CI/CD workflows, templates, and self-service capabilities for teams.
• Embed security across the software delivery lifecycle and manage SBOMs and attestations.
• Govern GitHub Enterprise capabilities, environments, and runners.
• Collaborate with product owners and security teams to translate needs into platform solutions.
