Job summary

Directio is seeking a Senior Oracle Utilities Architect to lead end-to-end technical and functional architecture across CCS, C2M, CC&B, MDM, and SGG for a U.S. client.

You will design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex batch schedules and data loads while guiding offshore teams of 5–15+ developers. You will drive production triage, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure zero-regression deployments through automated test governance, with OCI cloud considerations and a focus on SOC 2 and ITIL

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Oracle Utilities implementations, upgrades, and managed services (CC&B v2.x, C2M v2.6+, CCS, MDM, SGG)
• Batch Processing architecture: configuring thread allocation, batch job controls, batch monitoring queries, stream restarts, and error handling
• Experience with OUAF, Java, Groovy, SQL/PL-SQL, HQL, COBOL-to-Java migrations, and OCI environment architecture
• Experience as a Technical/Functional Lead for utility clients, managing offshore teams of 5–15+ developers and engineers
• Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II compliance, NERC-CIP requirements, and ITIL incident/change management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end technical and functional architecture leadership across Oracle CCS, C2M, CC&B, MDM, and SGG.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex nightly batch schedules, multi-thread processing streams, and high-volume data loads.
• Drive Level 2 and Level 3 production triage for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents; perform root-cause analysis for batch failures, long-running threads, data corruption, and bottlenecks.
• Guide technical teams on Java/Groovy component refactoring, Business Objects, Business Services, UI Maps, Zones, Algorithms, and Inbound/Outbound Web Services within the Oracle Utilities Application Framework.
• Oversee usage calculations, VEE rules, IMD processing, smart meter event processing, and device lifecycle flows across SGG and MDM subsystems.
• Lead technical impact assessments for Oracle cloud releases, service pack upgrades, OS/database patches, and environment refresh/backflow activities; ensure zero-regression deployments with automated test governance.
