Job summary

TigerUx is hiring a backend engineer in Pasig to develop and maintain scalable APIs for mobile and web platforms. You will refactor legacy CoffeeScript to TypeScript, support existing codebases, and deliver clean, testable code within an SDLC-driven environment.

The role requires strong Node.js/JavaScript expertise, experience with databases and cloud services, and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset. Remote-friendly with occasional office visits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years using CoffeeScript in professional projects.
• 3+ years with Node.js/JavaScript.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and monitoring tools.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain backend APIs and Services for mobile and web applications.

• Provide support for existing codebases.

• Refactor CoffeeScript to TypeScript for improved efficiency.

• Create reusable, testable, and efficient code

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ yrs CoffeeScript

• 3+ yrs Node.js/JavaScript

• Proficient in MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis

• Experienced with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS (CloudFormation, API Gateway, AppSync/GraphQL)

• Familiar with Jenkins, DataDog, Loggly

• Skilled in Express, Lodash, Knex, Sequelize

• Strong background in microservices and full SDLC

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
