Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Network Vulnerability Management Engineer to own and operate our enterprise vulnerability program within CISOC. You will lead platform administration, perform deep-dive vulnerability analysis, and drive remediation coordination with infrastructure teams and remediation groups.

Strong Python automation and experience with Qualys VMDR are essential for quality reporting and informed risk decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in vulnerability management and assessment.
• Experience with Qualys VMDR or similar enterprise scanners.
• Ability to prove true/false positives with evidence.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, OS, services, authentication, assets and remediation.
• Python automation, data analysis and reporting experience.
• Experience as System Lead or service owner is desirable.
• ServiceNow Vulnerability Response knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English; experience in international environments.
• Security certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the network vulnerability-management platform.
• Coordinate scanning scope, schedules, asset inventory and governance.
• Analyze findings and validate true/false positives with evidence.
• Assess severity, exposure and business context for prioritisation.
• Develop Python automation for platform admin, data processing and reporting.
• Lead vulnerability reporting and collaboration with remediation teams.
• Coordinate rescans and verification of remediation or exceptions.
• Maintain compliance and audit documentation.
